From the caterers to the bartenders, from the cleaners to the servers, from the makeup artists to the photographers, each and every vendor has a major role to play at your wedding. All their services come together to create the perfect day. So, how do you make sure that these vendors provide you with nothing but the best? If you want impeccable service from all your vendors, read on..
Always, always, communicate nicely
Yes, you’re the bride. Yes, it’s your big day. Yes, someone may mess up. But that’s okay. Don’t forget that everyone is human! You need to speak to them calmly and politely. Many a times, people tend to misdirect anger and that’s never a good thing. You don’t want to speak to someone rudely, for the next thing you know that person and their team might just walk out. So, happy bride, happy vendors!
Being considerate is a virtue
If it’s a hot summer day, keep a few bottles of water specifically for your vendors. When it’s a cold winter night, make sure there’s some place your caterers, bartenders, photographers, etc can keep warm. If the wedding functions go on till the wee hours of the morning, take a moment to thank them for staying so late without complaining. Once the function is over, ask them if they have eaten. If you’re going to be considerate towards them, they’re going to go out of their way to provide their service with a smile on their face!
Communication channels should be clear
To get the best service, the vendors need to know exactly what you expect from them. If you want the food to be hot and spicy, you need to say so. If you want the photographer to capture every little detail, you need to communicate that in advance. If you want the bartenders to serve shots on the dance floor, let them know beforehand. Make sure you tell the decorators exactly what you want the venue to look like with picture references so that you aren’t in for a shock later! Also, keep in mind that your vendors need to have one person who they can go to in case of any questions - this could be your father, your sister or even your friend. With open and clear communication, you can expect perfect service!
